You Should Experience Friendship At Least Once In Your Lifetime And Here's Why

"We are friends and we will stick with each other even in the bad times"

Is This really friendship?
No because this can happen between two people who were best friends at some point in their lives but now they are disposed off each other.

Then how can I specifically define friendship?
For me, The bond between two strangers who choose amongst the crowd to support each other are friends.

A Psychology of Attraction

Friendships are special. Friends can come from a variety of places, but all share an incredible bond. Sometimes it can move along generations sometimes for lifetimes, other times that bond is just for a short but unique and a powerful time. Still, they make a part of us like who we are actually, friendships help us to explore ourselves.
Some factors which actually make us attracted to a stranger to seek him or her like a friend are:

Similarity

We get attracted towards the people who are similar to us in terms of likes, dislikes, manners, attitudes or even personalities. The bond is sometimes so strong that it makes the relationship incredible with an instant emotion.

History

Whenever we meet someone who has experienced similar situations then the connection between the two become stronger as we tend to feel that the person is the one who can understand us better whenever we share a "secret".

Loyalty

A loyal friend is needed whenever we face bad times, even the same fits for the positive ones. They will stand with you whatever issue arises in future. They will speak ill-truth to you but will not withstand that from other mouths. Loyalty is hard to find nowadays but is one of the most important factors affecting the friendship.

A simple exercise for you about friendship folks, do it now while you read my blog:

Think for a moment about one of your best friends or friend or someone you feel connected with. Visualise their face, then imagine the sound and texture of their voice along with your last meeting…slowly feel your body instincts changing and maybe looking forward to a planned joint meet up, or thinking of getting in touch with them very soon…

You might be having a smile, a warmth in your heart or both. This shows your emotional response towards your friend which are positive but sometimes they can be negative too which may not trigger your happy hormones which are good for your health.

Have a look at this excerpt about Dharma who is reminded of his friendship by a single movie scene:

Remote of Television in one hand, the old man Dharma was changing channels.
Meanwhile, he tuned to a channel where Sholay movie (Indian movie about friendship) was being broadcasted.
He finished watching the whole movie. Then, he went to his room and opened his closet.
He found an old photograph of his late friend with whom he had bunked school to watch Sholay.
Holding that cold photograph in his hand, he expressed, “I told you that I’ll miss you.”
People die, but friendship never. They go far away, but memories never.

I appreciate this kind of positive and non-depressive friendship where friends actually feel each other without being romantic in nature.

For me, a true friendship is one when both of the persons share the same kind of bond with the same light and happy feelings when together and the incredible connection not of any other kind with any other person in this world. Make friends without terms and conditions and see yourself connected.
